You must bring photo identification to the course to sign into Club Parramatta, and for the completion of your registration for the course.
Club Parramatta and the Michael Hughes Foundation adhere to the most up to date COVID-19 health recommendations in relation to social distancing, participation rates and hygiene.
The Michael Hughes Foundation will have all of the equipment, paperwork and manuals for you to complete the course. Just bring a pen!
A lunch break of 30-40 minutes will be provided between 12.30pm and 1pm. You may bring along your own food and refreshments on the day, or alternatively you can purchase drinks, snacks and/or lunch from the following Club facilities on site:
The HLTAID003 Provide First Aid course will give you the skills and knowledge required to provide a First Aid response, life support, management of casualty (s), the incident and other first aiders, in a range of situations, including in the home, workplace or within the community, until the arrival of medical or other assistance. The course comprises face to face training hours in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines.
Each participant, on successfully completing all aspects of the written and practical elements of the course, will receive a Statement of Attainment for HLTAID003 Provide First Aid. This certificate if valid for 3 years.
The training is delivered under the auspices of Healthcorp Pty Ltd RTO 91222. Healthcorp is the RTO issuing the qualifications.
About Your Trainer – Kevin McSweeney
Kevin McSweeney is Acting Chair of the Michael Hughes Foundation, Inspector for NSW Ambulance (Northmead Superstation) and the current Parramatta Citizen of Year for 2020. Kevin is a highly regarded specialist paramedic with 20 years paramedical experience. Kevin’s courses are delivered with easy to understand medical advice, real life scenarios and in a relaxed atmosphere.
The Michael Hughes Foundation supplies a range of accredited first aid courses to match the specific needs and compliance of a range of organisations. All profits made through the delivery of training the Foundation fund its advocacy work and donations of defibrillators and training services to the community.
